Welcome to the Superior Township Clerk's Office!
The Township Clerk has
many duties and responsibilities that are set by State law such as
registering voters, conducting elections, composing minutes for all meetings
of the Board of Trustees, acting as official custodian for all Township
records, publication of ordinances, and serving as a voting member of the
Board.
Additional responsibilities of the Clerk are many and varied. Virtually all Township business passes through, or originates in, the Clerk's office.
I have enjoyed being Clerk since 2001. Some of you may remember that I served as Township Clerk from 1978-1986. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan and have lived in the Township for 40 years. My husband and I raised our two children in a farmhouse that was built in 1838.
As a Board member, I feel it is my duty to have a broad understanding of issues, including budgets, public safety, sewer systems, contracts, elections, engineering plans, environmental protection, Township ordinances, State and Federal law, etc. It takes a great deal of time and research, but it is a privilege to work with citizens and other officials in our very special Township.
