GENERAL INFORMATION:
We are now able to process online water/sewer bill payments through
a third-party bill payment service, Magic-Wrighter. You can choose to
pay your water/sewer bill either by credit card (MasterCard only) or through
your bank account (savings or checking).
- If you make a payment through your checking or savings account,
there is no additional fee.
- If you make a payment by credit card, you will be charged a small
convenience fee. The third party bill payment server will inform you of the
fee you will be charged, prior to you submitting your payment.

FAQ’S
Can I make other types of payments (other than water/sewer
bills) to the Superior Township Utility Department through this web
site?
Unfortunately, no, we are unable to accept payments for fees or for
other types of invoices through our online system. Payments for
sprinkler meters, replacement meters, deposits and/or for other invoices
must be made either by cash, check or money order.
How do I know if my payment will be received by the Superior
Township Utility Department by the due date?
Online payment transactions must be COMPLETE by no later than 11:30
p.m. on any given day in order to be credited to that day’s payments.
Please note that we may not receive notification from the
third-party bill payment service for up to two days that you have made your
payment. Once we receive the notification, however, it will tell us
the date YOU completed the transaction and that is the date we will use as
your payment
date.
What if I make a payment on a weekend or a
holiday?
Payments made on weekends or on holidays will be considered paid
the next business day. Please click here
for a list of the Superior Township Utility Department
holidays.
How will I know that my payment has gone
through?
Once your payment has been submitted, you will see a confirmation
number next to your payment information. You can print that screen for
your records.
What happens if I make a payment through my checking or savings
account and I don’t have sufficient funds in my bank or credit union to
cover it?
An online payment goes through your checking or savings account
just like a check. Insufficient funds in your account at the time our
third-party bill payment service attempts to process your payment will
result in the following:
- It will be considered an NSF payment and will be subject to the
Superior Township Utility Department’s standard NSF check fee, which is
$25.00. This fee will be added to your water/sewer account.
- Only one attempt will be made by the Superior Township Utility
Department and/or our third-party bill payment service (Magic-Wrighter) to
process your payment.
- The payment amount that was credited to your water/sewer account,
prior to our being notified there were insufficient funds to cover it, will
be removed from your water/sewer account.
- Your financial institution may charge you additional fees, based
on their guidelines and/or regulations.
